Yes. The damage must be reported immediately to the airline or any other carrier. As part of your claim, we will ask for a Property Irregularity Report (PIR) which is proof that the damage reported occurred during the time the baggage was checked in.

Yes - we recommend everyone travelling within EEA should obtain this card. The European Health Insurance Card officially documents that you are entitled to coverage of medically necessary healthcare in another EEA country under the same conditions as that country's own nationals. You should carry the card if you will be staying temporarily in another EEA country or Switzerland.
